Job Outline
The Senior Supply Chain Associate will develop and monitor Sygnite’s supply chain strategy. He/She will be responsible for overseeing and managing Sygnite’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity and reduce costs while securing high quality material here at Sygnite securing high quality material.
Responsibilities
• Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy for Sygnite.
• Oversee product storage, handling and distribution from the Warehouse to Sygnite customers across states within Nigeria.
• Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
• Keep detailed records, generate reports, analyst data and develop presentations to help management understand and make informed decisions within the Supply Chain operations of Sygnite.
• Build relationships and collaborate with the Engineering team and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors in sourcing for quality materials (and managing cost) in line with the Engineering standard materials.
• Continuously improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to improve the process within Sygnite while ensuring quality and safety and increase in profitability for the business.
• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
• Identify and implement new technologies to aid lean manufacturing structure by staying alert on new trends and developments within the industry.
• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
• Trains and develops employees within the Supply Chain Operations unit.
• Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth in Sygnite.
• Determine key supply chain KPIs
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business management, Supply Chain management, Logistics or any related field.
• CIPS Certification will be an added advantage
Skills & Experience Required
• 5 years’ work experience in the Supply Chain field (with 3 years of experience as a supervisor, or Team lead or
relevant position).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers/logistic companies and customers.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems as applicable to Supply chain/Procurement.
